Unilorin Students Robbed By Thief Disguised as a Soldier (Full Story)

It was a very sad day for some University of Unilorin students living around sanrab area (a very popular environment close to the university), a well-known hostel, Abikan, was reported to be under attack by a soldier claiming to be on hunt of a particular person named to be Salako.

Report made it known that he entered the hostel which consist of about 40 rooms (20 boys & 20 girls) and went directly to one of the boys room upstairs and started the invasion by slapping a boy he met outside the room, asking him to go inside that same room he was about invading. Some students too were brutalize during his operation, like whipping some of the them and uses his gun to scare some off.

There were about 6 boys and two girls in the room, he asked them all to sit down on the floor, then he asked, “Who is Salako among you?”
The students replied in panicky: “There isn’t any Salako here”, the student while reporting to Naijaeverything said he was probably drunk and confused about the Salako person in question, because no Salako has ever stayed in the hostel, they added.

He (the soldier, later reported to be fake) then asked one of the boys to start packing their gadgets, which include Laptops and phones and then give to him, one of the boys did.
On his way out he gave the boys his phone number and asked them to call him after they’ve found Salako for him to get their laptop and phones back, then he left on a motorcycle.

The boys did call his number few minutes after he left, and he denied to be involved in such an act, claimed he has not been in Ilorin recently. At this point the students knew he was a thief disguised to be a soldier. It was too late to do anything now!

The question is, Is this a new way for robbery?
